Search and Rescue Training

A training on Saturday June 8th was held at Longmont Training Center and we conducted a morning session that covered search and rescue, VEIS (Vent Enter Isolate Search), ladders hose deployments and fire behavior. The rest of the day was live fire attack in unknown rooms and locations in the burn building. Crews had to find the fire, conduct search and rescue and extinguish the fire. Boulder Rural Fire, Timberline Fire, Fourmile Fire, Nederland Fire, Longmont Emergency Unit and Longmont Fire were invited to come run some scenarios with us. 2103 came and spent several hours working with us and on their skills as well. Lyons Fire covered our district while we conducted the training. Thanks to all agencies involved it was a successful day!
